A 42-storey demolition in Vancouver’s West End, without all the dust, noise and disruption.
After two years of extensive activity on site, the 42 stories of the Empire Landmark Hotel were meticulously dismantled floor by floor, marking the completion of the tallest demolition in Canada and 19th tallest demolition in the world.

At a cost of over $12 million, it was Asia Standard’s mandate that extra time and effort be dedicated to ensure the demolition process was as safe and undisruptive as possible to the neighbouring residents and community.
